Fleadh 2011 is Launched PDF Print E-mail

The offical launch of this years Leinster Fleadh took place on  Saturday the 11th @ 6.30pm in the  Dunamaise Arts Centre, and followed by a Celebratory Concert featuring Laois All-Ireland Fleadh winners during the 60 year history of Comhaltas.

 Amongst those taking part are members of Goitse, Cirrus, the Bridge Ceili Band together with singers and dancers. Check out our gallery for photos of the event.

Official Opening PDF Print E-mail

The Official Opening of Leinster Fleadh 2011 takes place at County Hall, Portlaoise on Monday, 4th July, at  8.30 pm with Labhras Ó Murchu, Árd Stiúrthóir, CCE in attendance – All are Welcome. Before the Official Opening, everyone is invited to come at 7.00pm sharp to join the Historical walking tour of Portlaoise (Maryborough) which has been organised by the committee with the help of the local historical society as part of the week’s festival and cultural events. Light refreshments will be served following the official opening.
